So Halloween is over. Many people and store owners are scurrying to get their Halloween decorations put away, and quickly replacing them with Christmas decorations. I can’t help but wonder: is it too early? It’s one thing to put away the Halloween (I’ve usually had enough of them by this time anyway.) But I’m not quite ready to bust out the Christmas.
As of a couple of years ago, Nordstrom refused to participate in the holiday decor bum-rush. They made the decision to hold out, and instead they kept the Thanksgiving decor up. In their window, they put up an explanation, which basically read that they like to celebrate one holiday at a time and their customers appreciate them waiting to turn their stores into a winter wonderland.
What do you think? What do you do for your house?
