What’s that you say? You’re ready for another “favorite finds of the week”? Here we go!
Alice – Remember Alice, the maid from the Brady Bunch? Well now there’s a web service based on her character. With Alice you can auto-order things like paper towels, toilet paper, and other household necessities at the click of a button. In short, just like on the Brady Bunch, Alice is the shit. Because aside from actually providing the service, the web-based company actually sweeps the web and compares prices for you to make sure you get the best deal out there. We created an account and are expecting our first delivery this week. Want to try? See for yourself and check out Alice here.
Flameless candles – I never got into the flameless candles. I always felt like they defeated the purpose of creating ambiance in a home because, well, we’d all know it’s a fake flame. Wouldn’t it be tacky? Until I realized they were awesome. While they used to be made with solid, orange-y lights, they now have a soft yellow light that resembles an actual flame, and it flickers. And my favorite part is that these guys can easily be set on a timer, so they turn on the same time every day and shut off after 5 hours. No more open flames, having to light them, or having to replace them. Don’t they look pretty? I’ve officially converted. I got mine at Garden Ridge for $5.99 each.
Lettuce Carry – In keeping with the theme of never leaving home to get your necessities, Lettuce Carry is a service that will bring your groceries directly to your front door. I had to look at this one about twenty times to find the “catch” or to see if it was too good to be true, and I can honestly say that this service is legit. The site is set up like a grocery store, where you click to browse the “aisles” to fill your “cart.” They even have a great selection of organic produce. And the best part? Free next day delivery on orders $25 or more. This service in particular is in Charlotte, NC. This, my friends, is genius. Check them out here.
