These rosemary shrimp skewers were easily one of the simplest appetizers I’ve ever made! They not only looked great on the table, but they were definitely one of the best tasting apps by far. All it takes is a few bags of shrimp, some fresh rosemary, and some store-bought sweet chili dipping sauce, and you’ve got yourself an instant hit.
You can do this two ways: you can either 1) purchase the shrimp uncooked, marinate them, sautee them, and assemble, (for the marinade simply mix olive oil, salt, and crushed red pepper, and let sit for an hour); or 2) if you are purchasing your shrimp already cooked, simply skewer those babies and set ’em out without even stepping foot near the stove. You can find the sweet chili dipping sauce in the International aisle of your favorite grocery store, or at an Asian specialty foods store for the good stuff. Even if you don’t marinade, the flavor from the rosemary and the dipping sauce is enough to make this dish delish. Yum!
