Songza: I recently found Songza, an online streaming music library that body-slams Pandora. It’s simple to sign up for, has no audio ads, and – the best part – it’s free. I don’t even know how that’s all possible, but get it while its hot. You can create your own playlists and hear music for all times of moods and all types of genres. My favorite thing about Songza is the “concierge” feature, which greets you with the specific time of day and lets you select music based on your activity: my most recent favorite was Thursday evening –>”cooking” –> dancing in the kitchen –> “Mambo Tropicana”. Oh, and you can play it through your Sonos system. Move over Pandora – you have officially just been replaced. Go to Songza.
Vince Camuto Boots: The first day of FALL is this Saturday!! It’s my favorite season for many reasons (cool Autumn nights, gorgeous colors of leaves, pumpkin everything,) but the beginning of this season marks something else, too: Boot season! I’ve lately been loving boots with the following qualities: over-the-knee, wedge heel, and loose fitting at the top of the leg. These Vince Camuto’s accomplish everything on my list. I got them at DSW for $130 – a major score in my book. The neutral color makes them great to pull over a pair of jeans or leggins. They aren’t available on line, but head out to your local DSW to grab a pair for yourself!
Exobrain: My inner geek was very pleased with this one. It’s an on-line tool that allows you to create “brainstorm” boards, so that you can see your ideas in a whole new way. Organize projects, connect ideas, and save your boards when you’re done. It’s very simple and easy to use – a nice change from all the other noise out there. It is still in beta mode, but you can give it a shot and see for yourself – just click here.
